How was your day?

Two minutes,
that's what my blood,
my sweat and the generosity of total strangers
has accorded me
Two minutes which I'm now giving you.
How are you today?
What made you smile,
what kept your tears away?
Were there goodbyes,
were there dreams to fly?
I wish to know all of this
not because I can help fight your fears,
I'm just giving you two willing ears.
From one heart to another,
my life to yours.
So dear friend, what do you say,
how was your day?
